Salary
The salary range for this classification is $4,372 to $10,478 per month. Starting salary may be set as high as $6,250 per month based on education, skills and experience.

Time Base/Hours/Units per Week
Full-time/40 hours per week.

Position Description
The Digital Communications Developer serves as the primary programmer for Strategic Communications-owned digital communications. The incumbent develops, implements and maintains accessible, enterprise-level content management systems, online communication services and mobile applications. Collaborates with colleagues within the department, division, Information Technology, web committee(s) and other campus units. Ensures compliance with university and CSU web standards and requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of :
Full-stack Web Development, System Architecture (Development and Administration); web content management systems (Drupal, WordPress); SEO; website troubleshooting; Adobe Creative Cloud suite; digital-publishing tools; SP.NET C#; iOS/Android App Development; and Apple Developer/Google Play, CSU web-accessibility standards. Familiarity of back-end programming utilizing: Javascript and Javascript libraries (jQuery, AngularJS, NodeJS), HTML5/CSS3, PHP, MYSQL/ORACLE frameworks.

Ability to:
Coordinate and communicate our web development needs with vendors and web development partners.
Train users at all levels of expertise.
Communicate with technical and non-technical personnel.
Communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
Follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.
Contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related technical field and two years of related experience required.
